How many of you own a portable espresso maker?
To be honest I just tought of it yesterday. Not once in my 37 years this product haven’t crossed my mind. I drink coffee a lot and it is expensive to go into coffee shop each time i want to have a coffee. Plus I’m travelling a lot and this kind of product would be a good addition in my “must take with me” bag. I typed my query into google and found couple of interesting portable espresso makers. My idea was to look at first couple of pages on google and read reviews about product of my interest, and to check google trends to see popularity of found products. I’m sure you’ve done the same thing many times before.
First page of google is filled with articles and reviews about Wacaco’s Nanopresso and Minipresso and there was Simposh’s Simpresso Portable Coffee Maker so I’ve decided to try with those three first. If neither one of them don’t meet my expectations I’ll look forward. I was looking for something that will save me money that I usually spend in coffee shops. Something that will make me a good espresso and it’s not big and complicated so I can take it with me where ever I go.
After 2 hours of research I came up with bunch of informations from manufacturer and what is more important, I came up with lots of informations from people who already purchased those 3 portable coffee makers. If you are also interested in portable coffee makers and thinking to buy one then keep reading because I’ll sum up all informations I’ve found to save you time of doing research on your own.

This is 2nd generation of Wacaco’s portable espresso makers. With its ergonomic design and shorter lenght it’s even easier to take it with you wherever you go. Nanopresso need 15% less force for pumping. They improved this from last generation of espresso makers and now you don’t need as much power in your hands to press the hot water through. With its newly patented pumping system, Nanopresso can achieve up to 18 bars of stable pressure for extraction. This coffee maker won’t heat up your water so again you’ll need hot water to drink hot espresso.

Cleaning is much easier and maintanance after each shot takes only couple of seconds and every component of portafilter is easily separated for deeper cleaning. Nanopresso isn’t dishwasher safe. Manufacturer recommends washing scoop, brush, cup, portafilter, filter basket and area where filter basket is positioned with running water and other parts with wet clothes.

Satisfaction guarantee is also included, so if you aren’t happy with Nanopresso contact them within 30 days and they’ll give you a refund or replacement. Wacaco’s Nanopresso and Minipresso fits better to me because of the design but it’s more expensive with all addons if you compare them to Simpresso which is all-in-one product. Only thing that i didn’t like about Wacaco’s products is that they ships from China and first thing that came on my mind was that if I order it I’ll get something like toy for 1 year old. This happened to me couple of times when I was ordering from Wish. Did you had some bad experiences with products shipped from China?
Well, I’ll try my luck with Nanopresso. Which one would you choose?
